Have you ever bought an airline ticket only to find out you could’ve purchased the same ticket for less money? Well I have, and as I’m sure you’ll agree – it’s a terrible feeling! But with a few clicks of the mouse you can sleep easy knowing that you got the lowest price possible.

Here are a few simple websites to make sure you are paying the best possible price for your next trip:

ITA Software: Trip Planner
Use the ITA Matrix to search for the lowest possible prices for a given set of dates, or the date range of your choice (up to a month). Once you have found the flights and price you want, simply go to the respective airline’s site and book! [When at the main page, click “Log in as guest”]

Bing Travel
Microsoft’s newest search engine Bing has added a nifty new feature when searching airfare – Farecast. Farecast helps to predict whether the current price for airfare looks to be going up, down, or staying the same.

Yapta
Similar to Bing, Yapta tracks flight prices and helps to check for airline refunds (if the price of your booked ticket has lowered). Check Yapta often, and sign up for emails to alert you when fares drop!

So before booking your next trip, be sure to check out the above sites and save yourself some hard-earned cash!
